Pantanal Escapes

This YouTube video is a local news segment (in Portuguese) showing Carnaval preparations in the small town of Vila Bela da Santíssima Trinidade in Mato Grosso. This is a small town that was semi-isolated for much of its history - even though its was once (prior to 1835) the capital of Mato Grosso territory. Carnaval takes place every February and, although its not as big or spectacular as other locations - there's still a big community involvement.
